Where it fits

Construction is our main market today: most of our output goes to Jordan's cement and construction industry (company profile, 2026). Our sand is used as fine aggregate in concrete and precast, and as a blending sand that corrects the grading of a coarser sand.

What concrete producers check

  • Grading. Concrete sand is graded to a standard such as ASTM C33, which asks for a fineness modulus of 2.3–3.1, or EN 12620 in Europe and Turkey.
  • Fines. ASTM C33 limits material finer than 75 µm to 3–5 %, depending on the concrete's exposure.
  • Chlorides, sulfates and alkali–silica reactivity, tested on each sand source.

Recommended grades

  • 0–3 mm: our coarsest cut, for use as fine aggregate.
  • 0–2 mm and 0–1 mm: finer sands to blend with a coarse sand, or for mortars and screeds.

Our finer grades are too fine to use on their own in concrete. One independent sieve analysis of our 0–600 µm grade passed 30.2 % at 300 µm and 5.9 % below 75 µm (Modern Engineering Laboratories, ASTM C136, one unwashed sample, January 2021). That makes them blending sands rather than stand-alone concrete sand.

Data and testing

We don't publish an analysis for these grades yet. Ask for a Certificate of Analysis with your quote, and tell us the standard your project uses (ASTM C33, EN 12620 or a national specification) so that we test against it.
