Where it fits

  • Ceramic tile bodies. Silica forms the skeleton of wall and floor tile bodies. Tile plants wet-mill the sand with clay and feldspar, so a screened sand can feed the body mix.
  • Filler sand. Our finer cuts can be supplied as a filler sand, or as feed for millers who grind silica flour.

What ceramics buyers check

  • Iron and titanium (Fe₂O₃, TiO₂): they colour the fired body. Red and coloured bodies accept more; white bodies need low values and a firing test.
  • Grain size: coarse grains are acceptable where the plant wet-mills its body.
  • Consistency from lot to lot.

These figures make white-firing bodies plausible, but only a firing test on your own body proves it. We will send a sample for your trial.

What we don't supply yet

Glazes, sanitaryware and fine fillers for paints and plastics use milled silica flour, typically 75 µm or finer. We don't grind today. Grinding is part of our planned expansion.
